About me
Giuseppe Pappadà (Maglie, 1993), was born in province of Lecce (Italy) and since he was five years old, he starts to work and use the local stone.
In 2012 he moved to Milan to study Architecture in Politecnico University. He reached a double bechelor and a master degree with highest honours.
Since 2020 he works at Testing Materials Laboratory in Politecnico di Milano.
In 2022, in collaboration with Arch. Paolo Pozzoni and Arch. Linda Verzelletti, he founded Arch3tipo, Art architecture and Design collective, reaching prizes and mentions in Italy and abroad.
Since 2018 he works with Architects and Artists all over the world and from that moment on, he laid the foundations for his first art collection, titled PORTRAIT. With this art collection, the result of a continuous research and investigations work lasting five years, he sets a strongly personal and contemporary expressive language. The topics covered are personal tales of intimate everyday life expressed in an essential and honest way. The technique is purified from all kinds of tinsel and visual and material contamination. Light is the medium to “paint the stone” and to reveal the engrave.
In 2023 he is recognized among the best Italian sculptors of the year, finalist result at Amedeo Modigliani Prize.
His work is currently on display in Convitto Palmieri (Lecce, Italy), in Palazzo Tafuri in Nardò (Lecce, Italy), in Amedeo Modigliani Foundation (Rome, Italy) and in private collection in Italy and abroad.
In 2024 his artworks are part of the permanent collection of Ecomuseo della Pietra Leccese in Cursi, beside the works of Ugo La Pietra, Andrea Branzi and Alvaro Siza.
In 2025 his artworks are part of the permanent collection of the Amedeo Modigliani Foundation in Rome.
